A hard rock, Motown, psychedelic, folk and country cabaret co-created by pianist Sheldon Forrest and singer David Nathan Scott–the 1968 Band consisting of David Nathan Scott, vocals and hand percussion; Pete Maness, electric bass; Alec Menge/Alex Wyatt drums; Rayna Dae and Ronica Reddick (“The Rayronettes”) backing vocals; Sheldon Forrest, musical direction and piano. A revue of 25 songs written, recorded, and/or released in the year 1968. Music by Donovan, Sly and the Family Stone, The Rascals, Mary Hopkins, The Bee Gees, Jimmy Webb, Todd Rundgren, Marvin Gaye, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Aretha Franklin, Tom Jones, Johnny Cash, The Rolling Stones, Otis Redding, Nino Rota, Harry Nilsson, Three Dog Night, Blood Sweat and Tears, Hugh Masekela, Jimi Hendrix, Burt Bacharach, Leonard Cohen, The Beatles, Traffic, Joe Cocker, Stevie Wonder, Nino Rota, and Simon and Garfunkel.
